The 7500 Real-Time PCR System from Applied biosystems is a 96-well plate based versatile, leading-edge platform providing enhanced performance capabilities including high-speed thermal cycling and multiplex fluorescence measurements for quantitative PCR.

A five-colour detection system allows a variety of applications including gene expression analysis, SNP genotyping and plus/minus assays that utilize internal positive controls. The optical configuration supports a broad range of fluorophores, including:

  • FAM™/SYBR®Green I
  • VIC®/JOE™
  • NED™/TAMRA™/Cy3™
  • ROX™/Texas Red®
  • Cy5™ 

and a variable excitation capability allows greater sensitivity for longer wavelength (red) dyes.
